Interview & Hiring Process

Application

To be considered for employment you must submit your resume to jobs@velti.com specifying the job or jobs you are applying for. You may submit a resume without specifying a particular job. However, applying specifically for one or more positions ensures prompt review and consideration.

Receipt of your resume will be acknowledged by an automatically generated email. Your resume will be entered into our resume database and will remain active in our system—which is regularly searched by Velti management —so you may be considered for future openings that match your qualifications. However, if you desire, we will remove your resume from our database upon your request.

Timeline
The employment process from application to hiring decision, can take from three weeks to three months. You should let the HR representative know about any factors affecting your availability. If you have questions prior to being contacted by HR, you can send an email to hr@velti.com. Candidates who get to the interview stage will be notified if the position is filled by another applicant.

Preliminary screening
The HR department reviews the qualifications of all candidates seeking consideration for a position and forwards the resumes of the most appropriately qualified candidates to the hiring manager. The hiring manager selects the candidates to be interviewed.

Phone screening
To help align your interests with our opportunities, a Velti HR representative may call you to ask for additional information, such as depth of technical/professional knowledge, availability for interviews, interest in relocation, salary expectations, etc.

Scheduling an interview
When a hiring manager asks to meet you, an HR representative will call to arrange a time for you to visit our offices.

Interviews
Upon arrival for the interview you will meet with an HR representative and the hiring manager. Different departments have different practices, but you can expect to have two to four individual meetings with department representatives. You will have the chance to share your detailed qualifications and learn more about Velti and our projects. In some cases, you may be asked in advance to take a test to assess the level of expertise in certain programming languages. Sometimes we need to ask a candidate back for additional interviews before making a final decision.

Reference checks
If you are being considered for employment at Velti, we will conduct a reference check that involves talking to former employers and/or co-workers. If no adverse information is reported during the check—which typically takes three to five days—we will proceed with a formal written offer.

Offer
If you're selected for the position and the reference check is satisfactory, an HR representative will send you the Velti offer letter of employment. The offer letter will include your salary and a summary of other company benefits. Normally we expect your decision within a week.

Hire and orientation
After you accept the offer, the HR representative will discuss and finalize your start date. New employees generally start on Monday or on the first day of the month. All new employees receive new employee orientation on the first day of employment during which they receive the Velti Employee Handbook that outlines the policies and procedures to which we adhere to.
