Velti has a focused team of trained engineers with practical experience on SUN Identity Management Suite and selected infrastructure products and considers Identity Management as a strategic focused area.
Key selected projects:Vodafone IDM
Sun Identity Management Suite was applied at Vodafone in order to redesign the Vodafone Corporate Site / Portal identity management infrastructure. The implemented solution included SUN Identity Manager Service Provider Edition, Access Manager and Directory server and provided the infrastructure to cover successfully the following:
1. Single Sign On
a. Single domain or internal SSO, for the services provided by Vodafone and hosted under the same domain as the corporate site
b. Cross domain SSO, for the service from third party vendors, Vodafone partners
2. Centralized user session management
3. Advanced authentication with account locking and expiration of inactive accounts that will make use of the Common User Repository (CUR)
4. Client APIs to be used by developers on new Vodafone services as well as the third party service providers, Vodafone partners
5. Advanced logging functionality
6. Authorization with easy administration and enforcement of password policies
7. Identity Synchronization
Velti has also successfully delivered the Common User Repository (CUR) Upgrade for Vodafone. The scope of that project referred to the upgrade of the Common User Repository (CUR) infrastructure at Vodafone Greece. The CUR refers to a Central User Directory (based on SUN Directory Server / LDAP) that is utilized as the authentication layer to various applications that are being accessed by Single-Sign-On capabilities.
Eurobank IDM
Through its partnership with Sun, Velti provided an integrated solution services to satisfy the Identity Management needs of Eurobank. The scope of the project included the analysis of the Bank’s user provisioning environment and implementation of an enterprise-wide IDM solution including both technical and procedural components. The solution successfully provided the ability to manage user access and authorities across multiple information systems in a standardized and automated manner.
In-progress IDM Project
Velti is currently responsible for the implementation of Sun Java ES Identity Manager for Automated Provisioning, Identity Synchronization, Auditing and Reporting of the internal users of a big Greek telecommunications customer using its important past experience, skills and expertise. The following components of Sun Identity Management Suite are deployed, customized and integrated with the existing IT infrastructure of the customer:
- Sun Java ES Directory Server (Directory Server and Directory Server Management Center)
- Sun Java System Identity Manager (Standard Edition and Service Provider Edition)
- Sun Java System Access Manager
SUN Messaging Server
Sun Java System Messaging Server is a component of the Sun Java Communications Suite. The Sun Java System Messaging Server is a high-performance, highly secure messaging platform. Scaling from thousands to millions of users, the SUN System Messaging Server is suitable for both service providers and enterprises interested in consolidating email servers and reducing total cost of ownership of communications infrastructure. It also provides extensive security features that help ensure the integrity of communications through user authentication, session encryption, and the appropriate content filtering to help prevent spam and viruses.
Velti has successfully applied the following changes at VF Panafonet’s Sun Messaging Server:
- Increased email capacity for both retail and corporate customers
- Differentiated policy in email accounts’ management (creation, deletion) and decoupling of email provisioning from the access provisioning
- Enhanced LDAP schema, keeping additional info in LDAP per account
- Anti-spam policy and Anti-virus protection
- Change in the email domain @panafonet.gr
In addition, Velti has successfully applied necessary changes at Vodafone’s LDAP schema (Sun directory server) and Sun Messaging Server so that Vodafone can offer ADSL in cooperation with HOL. |
